Swedish Tarmo Hietala (born 1969) is based in Norrköping Östergötland. Tarmo has more than 25 years of martial art experience and has 1 dan in Tani-Ha Shitoryu karate do kofukan (graduation date 1992 Sensei Keiji Tomiyama).

Tarmo has also been a coach for the karateteam In Norrköpings shitoryu karateklubb for five years, and has represented the national team shitoryu Sweden for five years. He won a silver medal in Shitoryu World Cup Slovenia in 1992.

Tarmo has worked as a karate instructor for shitoryu Norrköping for over 13 years, and was in charge of a team of young people with whom he won several medals.

Tarmo has worked proffessionaly with stage combat for theater, film and tv since 2003.
