Ketil Støren was trained in stage combat in the British Academy of Dramatic Combat during and after his acting training at Arts Educational School of Acting in London. He was certified a stage combat teacher in NSFS in 2003. He has since taught stage combat at the acting course at Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio (NISS), and at various workshops. He has directed combat for TV, theatre and opera, and performed and directed the combat moves for the computer game "Age of Conan - Hyborian adventures". He has also trained and taught European medieval swordfighting for 12 years, and has experience with jiu jitsu, judo, fencing, archery and firearms. He is based in Oslo.
