Stage Combat

About Stage Combat

Stage Combat is an expression of violence on stage and screen. When used in a good way, it is a powerful dramaturgical tool.

Training stage combat includes developing an understanding of space, distance, physical communication, breathing, handling of props, timing, partner work, musicality, story, energy transference, presence, awareness, and much, much more.

As a participant at one of our workshops, we train you to become the best possible performer you can be. We strive for you to acquire the knowledge to be able to move an audience and to perform a believable fight. We train you to acquire an understanding of the principles found behind the techniques, to understand your body, making you adaptable and able to take on any fighting style given by any choreographer.

As a society, we strive to develop the art of dramatic combat itself.
